Description: The number of SYN segments to the same destination address and port number per second required to activate the SYN proxying mechanism. In order to set the appropriate threshold value, it requires a through knowledge of the normal traffic patterns at site

For example, if the security device normally gets 2000 SYN segments per second, the threshold value should be set at 3000/second.

This attribute displays the configured SYN attack threshold value.

What is jnxJsScreenSynAttackThresh?

This read-only value reports the configured SYN-proxy activation threshold: the number of SYN segments per second to the same destination address and port that triggers the device's SYN-proxying defense, tuned based on the zone's normal traffic baseline (e.g. 3000/sec on a site that normally sees 2000/sec). An admin reads this to confirm the threshold is set appropriately above the zone's legitimate peak SYN rate.
