Description: The upper limit on the number of entries that the jnxMacHistoryTable may contain. A value of 0 will prevent any history from being retained. When this table is full, the oldest entry will be deleted and a new one will be created.
What is jnxMacHistTableMaxLength?
This is the maximum number of entries the jnxMacHistoryTable is allowed to hold. Once the table reaches this limit, the oldest entry is deleted to make room for each new one, so admins tune this value to control how much MAC-change history is retained versus device memory use, and setting it to 0 disables history retention entirely. With jnxMacHistTableMaxLength set to its default of 256, only the most recent 256 MAC learn, remove, or update events remain queryable via SNMP before older ones roll off.
