jailThreads

Module: JAILS-MIB

OID (symbolic): JAILS-MIB::jailThreads

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1111.2.1.21

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: Number of threads running in this jail.

What is jailThreads?

This read-only Integer32 reports the number of threads running in this jail, per its source description. An admin uses it alongside jailProcesses to understand a jail's concurrency level, since a process count that stays flat while thread count climbs points to multi-threaded applications inside the jail consuming more resources. For instance, a jail running a multi-threaded web server might normally show a few hundred threads across a handful of processes.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1111.2.1.21
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> JAILS-MIB::jailThreads

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1111.2.1.21.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> JAILS-MIB::jailThreads.1
