jailHost

Module: JAILS-MIB

OID (symbolic): JAILS-MIB::jailHost

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1111.2.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: The host name of this jail.

What is jailHost?

This read-only OCTET STRING gives the host name of this jail, per its source description. An admin reads it to identify which jail (by its configured hostname) a given row's traffic and resource statistics belong to, since jailIndex alone is just a number. As an illustrative example, jailHost might return "web1.jail.example.com" to identify a jail running a web service.
