jailCount

Module: JAILS-MIB

OID (symbolic): JAILS-MIB::jailCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1111.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: The number jails running on the system.

What is jailCount?

This read-only Integer32 reports the number of jails running on the system, per its source description. An admin polls this value to quickly gauge how many FreeBSD jail (containerized) environments are active on a host, and it also gives the expected number of rows to find in jailTable. For example, a value of 4 tells the admin to expect four corresponding entries when walking jailTable.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1111.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> JAILS-MIB::jailCount

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1111.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> JAILS-MIB::jailCount.1
