Description: This variable identifies the event group.

What is eventGroupIndex?

This value identifies a particular event group in the eventGroupEntry table and serves as that table's index. Admins use it to reference a specific category of events, such as those related to power or link status, when reading or configuring per-group settings like eventGroupState. For example, a management application would iterate over eventGroupIndex values to enumerate all event groups the device supports.
