lapbRetryCount

Module: ISOVIEW-MIB

OID (symbolic): ISOVIEW-MIB::lapbRetryCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.2.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

What is lapbRetryCount?

A read-write INTEGER scalar (under the lapb group, not per-link) setting the LAPB retransmission retry limit. The source MIB has no DESCRIPTION text for this or any other object, so this reading is inferred from the object's name, type, and position in the real MIB tree. An admin raises it to make the station more tolerant of transient errors before declaring a link down, at the cost of slower failure detection.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.2.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ISOVIEW-MIB::lapbRetryCount

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.2.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ISOVIEW-MIB::lapbRetryCount.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.2.3.1 i <value>
