freeBufferCount

Module: ISOVIEW-MIB

OID (symbolic): ISOVIEW-MIB::freeBufferCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

What is freeBufferCount?

A read-only INTEGER reporting how many data buffers are currently free in the station's internal buffer pool. The source MIB has no DESCRIPTION text for this or any other object, so this reading is inferred from the object's name, type, and position in the real MIB tree. A falling or near-zero value signals the device is running low on memory for queuing frames, which can precede packet loss.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ISOVIEW-MIB::freeBufferCount

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ISOVIEW-MIB::freeBufferCount.1
