bootserverIpAddress

Module: ISOVIEW-MIB

OID (symbolic): ISOVIEW-MIB::bootserverIpAddress

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.11.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

What is bootserverIpAddress?

A read-write IpAddress giving the address of the BOOTP server the station contacts during network startup. The source MIB has no DESCRIPTION text for this or any other object, so this reading is inferred from the object's name, type, and position in the real MIB tree. An admin sets it to point the station at the correct boot server on networks where BOOTP broadcast discovery is not usable.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.11.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ISOVIEW-MIB::bootserverIpAddress

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.11.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ISOVIEW-MIB::bootserverIpAddress.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.11.4.1 a <value>
