bootpRetryCount

Module: ISOVIEW-MIB

OID (symbolic): ISOVIEW-MIB::bootpRetryCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.11.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

What is bootpRetryCount?

A read-write INTEGER (0..65535) setting how many times the station retries a BOOTP request during startup before giving up. The source MIB has no DESCRIPTION text for this or any other object, so this reading is inferred from the object's name, type, and position in the real MIB tree. An admin raises it on a network where the BOOTP/boot server may be slow or occasionally unreachable, to avoid the station failing to boot from the network.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ISOVIEW-MIB::bootpRetryCount

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.11.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ISOVIEW-MIB::bootpRetryCount.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.170.1.1.1.11.1.1 i <value>
