What is swIPv6NeighborCacheDeleteAction?

swIPv6NeighborCacheDeleteAction is a write action that clears cached IPv6 neighbor entries, with values to delete all entries, only static entries, only dynamic entries, or other entries. Admins use this to bulk-flush the neighbor cache, for example after a network renumbering event, without having to delete each swIPv6NeighborCacheRouteStatus entry individually. For example, setting swIPv6NeighborCacheDeleteAction to dynamic(3) clears all learned (non-static) neighbor entries while preserving manually configured static ones.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.26.4.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IPV6-STATIC-ROUTE-MIB::swIPv6NeighborCacheDeleteAction

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.26.4.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IPV6-STATIC-ROUTE-MIB::swIPv6NeighborCacheDeleteAction.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.26.4.2.1 i <value>
