Module: IPSEC-TUN-MON-MIB

OID (symbolic): IPSEC-TUN-MON-MIB::deletedTunnels

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.1010.1.2.2.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: The total number of tunnels deleted by the entity.

Tunnel deletion is defined as the removal of a row from the tunnel table, independent of the existence of the phase 2 SA suites that may have supported it.

Note that the sum of 'currentTunnels' and 'deletedTunnels' should is to 'totalTunnels'.

What is deletedTunnels?

A running count, since boot, of IPsec tunnels that have been torn down, independent of whether phase-2 SAs were still supporting them; currentTunnels plus this value should equal totalTunnels. A rising value alongside a flat currentTunnels points to tunnels cycling rather than accumulating.
