ipMRoute1RtType
Module: IPMROUTE-MIB
OID (symbolic): IPMROUTE-MIB::ipMRoute1RtType
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.60.1.1.2.1.15
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: The reason the given route was placed in the (logical) multicast Routing Information Base (RIB). A value of unicast means that the route would normally be placed only in the unicast RIB, but was placed in the multicast RIB (instead or in addition) due to local configuration, such as when running PIM over RIP. A value of multicast means that the route was explicitly added to the multicast RIB by the routing protocol, such as DVMRP or Multiprotocol BGP.
What is ipMRoute1RtType?
Indicates whether the route backing this multicast entry lives in the unicast RIB (used for multicast only due to local config, e.g. PIM over RIP) or was explicitly added to the multicast RIB by a protocol like DVMRP or multiprotocol BGP.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.3.60.1.1.2.1.15 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IPMROUTE-MIB::ipMRoute1RtType
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.3.60.1.1.2.1.15.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IPMROUTE-MIB::ipMRoute1RtType.1
