ipfInRule
Module: IPFILTER
OID (symbolic): IPFILTER::ipfInRule
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.13.2.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-only
Description: Textual representation of the incoming IP Filter rule
What is ipfInRule?
This is the textual representation of one incoming IP Filter rule, showing the actual filter syntax being applied to inbound traffic. An admin reads this to verify exactly what filtering logic (protocol, source/destination, action) is in effect for a given rule without needing shell access to the host. For example, ipfInRule might return a string like block in on le0 from any to 192.168.1.1 port = 23, telling the admin this rule blocks inbound Telnet to that host.
