Description: Discard Eligibility to Cell Loss Priority mapping mode.

mode1: The Discard Eligibility (DE) field in the Q.922 core frame shall be copied unchanged into the DE field in the FR-SSCS PDU header and mapped to the ATM Cell Loss Priority (CLP) of every ATM cell generated by the segmentation process of that frame.

mode2Const0: The DE field in the Q.922 core frame shall be copied unchanged into the DE field in the FR-SSCS PDU header and the ATM Cell Loss Priority of every ATM cell generated by the segmentation process of that frame shall be set to the constant value 0.

mode2Const1: The DE field in the Q.922 core frame shall be copied unchanged into the DE field in the FR-SSCS PDU header and the ATM Cell Loss Priority of every ATM cell generated by the segmentation process of that frame shall be set to the constant value 1.

What is ipadAtmFrf5SvcDeToClpMappingMode?

How the Frame Relay Discard Eligibility (DE) bit maps to the ATM Cell Loss Priority (CLP) bit for frames crossing this FRF.5 interworking connection: mode1(1) copies DE straight through to CLP, mode2Const0(2) forces CLP to 0 regardless of DE, or mode2Const1(3) forces CLP to 1 regardless of DE. Admins choose mode1(1) when they want the Frame Relay network's loss-priority marking to be preserved end-to-end into the ATM network.
