dot3MACSubLayerStatus

Module: INXNMM-MIB

OID (symbolic): INXNMM-MIB::dot3MACSubLayerStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.3.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The operational status of the MAC sublayer, i.e., whether it is ready to transmit and receive frames. Because this sublayer is always active in the INX-NMM, this variable always returns enabled(1).

What is dot3MACSubLayerStatus?

Shows whether the MAC sublayer is ready to send and receive frames; on the INX-NMM this sublayer is always active, so the object is hard-wired to enabled(1) and reading it really just confirms the agent is responding, not that a disabled MAC was fixed.
