dot3Index

Module: INXNMM-MIB

OID (symbolic): INXNMM-MIB::dot3Index

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.3.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The value assigned to the INX-NMM Ethernet interface. Because the INX-NMM has only one interface, this variable always returns 1.

What is dot3Index?

Identifies which Ethernet interface a row in the dot3 interface table describes; since the INX-NMM has exactly one on-board Ethernet port, this always returns 1, so an admin uses it mainly to confirm the table has a single entry rather than to distinguish multiple interfaces.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.3.3.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> INXNMM-MIB::dot3Index

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.3.3.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> INXNMM-MIB::dot3Index.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> dot3Index.1
