interfaceTopNValue

Module: INTERFACETOPN-MIB

OID (symbolic): INTERFACETOPN-MIB::interfaceTopNValue

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.16.27.1.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge32

Access: read-only

Description: The value at the end of the sampling interval, or the amount of change in the selected variable during this sampling interval for the identified interface. The selected variable is that interfaces's instance of the object selected by interfaceTopNObjectVariable. This value may be normalized if interfaceTopNNormalization required equals 'true'. This value of this object will be computed for all cases when interfaceTopNObjectVariable points to a 32-bit counter or Gauge or when interfaceTopNObjectSampleType equals bandwidthPercentage(3), and will be zero for all other cases.

What is interfaceTopNValue?

This read-only Gauge32 reports the value at the end of the sampling interval, or the amount of change during that interval, for the interface's instance of the variable selected by interfaceTopNObjectVariable, computed only when that variable is a 32-bit counter or gauge (or when the sample type is bandwidthPercentage) and zero otherwise. Admins read this to see the actual ranked statistic for each interface in a Top N report. For example, if the report is configured to sample ifInErrors as a delta, this object would show how many input errors each ranked interface accumulated during that sampling window.
