interfaceTopNGrantedSize

Module: INTERFACETOPN-MIB

OID (symbolic): INTERFACETOPN-MIB::interfaceTopNGrantedSize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.16.27.1.2.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: The maximum number of interfaces in the top N table.

When the associated interfaceTopNRequestedSize object is created or modified, the agent should set this object as closely to the requested value as is possible for the particular implementation and available resources. The agent must not lower this value except as a result of a set to the associated interfaceTopNRequestedSize object.

What is interfaceTopNGrantedSize?

This read-only integer, from 0 to 2147483647, reports the maximum number of interfaces the agent actually granted for the Top N table, which it sets as close as possible to the requested size given available resources and never lowers except in response to a change in the requested size. Admins compare this against interfaceTopNRequestedSize to see whether the device could fully honor the requested report size. For example, if an admin requested 10 but resource constraints limited the device, this object might report a granted size of only 5.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.16.27.1.2.1.9
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> INTERFACETOPN-MIB::interfaceTopNGrantedSize

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.16.27.1.2.1.9.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> INTERFACETOPN-MIB::interfaceTopNGrantedSize.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> interfaceTopNGrantedSize.1
