Description: The administrative status requested by management for IGMP pruning. The value enabled(1) indicates that IGMP pruning should be enabled on this device, in all VLANs, on all ports for which it has not been specifically disabled. When disabled(2), IGMP pruning is disabled, in all VLANs, on all ports.

What is confIgmpPruEnabled?

This read-write value sets the administrative status of IGMP pruning device-wide, with enabled(1) turning it on across all VLANs and ports that haven't been individually disabled, and disabled(2) turning it off everywhere. Admins toggle this as the master switch for IGMP pruning, which limits multicast flooding by only forwarding multicast traffic out ports with interested listeners. For example, setting confIgmpPruEnabled to enabled(1) on a switch heavily used for IPTV multicast traffic prevents that traffic from being flooded to ports with no subscribers.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> INTEL-IGMP-PRUNING-MIB::confIgmpPruEnabled

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.35.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> INTEL-IGMP-PRUNING-MIB::confIgmpPruEnabled.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.35.1.1.1 i <value>
