A read-only value reporting the time remaining before this interface assumes no IGMPv1 routers are present on the segment, after which it can stop using IGMPv1-compatible behavior. While this timer is non-zero, the host continues replying to queries using version 1 membership reports for backward compatibility, so this tells an admin whether IGMPv1 legacy behavior is still active on that interface. If an admin recently removed the last IGMPv1 router from a segment, this timer would still read non-zero for a while afterward until it counts down and the interface switches fully to IGMPv2/v3 behavior.
