Description: The maximum query response time advertised in IGMPv2 queries on this interface.

What is igmpInterfaceQueryMaxResponseTime?

A read-create value, in tenths of a second and defaulting to 100 (10 seconds), setting the maximum response time advertised in this interface's IGMPv2 query messages. This tells hosts how long they have to respond to a membership query before the router assumes no members remain, so lowering it speeds up detection of stale memberships at the cost of more frequent host responses. An admin wanting faster leave-detection on a network with many transient multicast clients might reduce this value from the default 10 seconds to make membership queries resolve more quickly.
