Module: IEEE8023-LAG-MIB

OID (symbolic): IEEE8023-LAG-MIB::dot3adAggMulticastFramesRxOK

OID (numeric): 1.2.840.10006.300.43.1.1.3.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: A count of the data frames received by this Aggregator, from the Aggregation Ports that are (or have been) members of the aggregation, that were addressed to an active group address other than the broadcast address. The count does not include frames that carry LACP or Marker PDUs (7.3.3.1.2, 7.3.3.1.3, 7.3.3.1.4), or frames discarded by the Frame Collection function of the Aggregator (7.3.1.1.26). This value is read-only.

What is dot3adAggMulticastFramesRxOK?

This counter tracks the number of multicast data frames successfully received by a link aggregation group (LAG) from member ports, excluding broadcast frames and LACP/Marker protocol frames. A multicast frame is addressed to a group of devices on the network. An operator managing aggregate Ethernet links would monitor this to verify that multicast traffic is being received correctly across the bonded ports and to diagnose potential multicast delivery issues.

Examples
