dot3adAggAdminDiscardWrongConversation2

Module: IEEE8023-LAG-MIB

OID (symbolic): IEEE8023-LAG-MIB::dot3adAggAdminDiscardWrongConversation2

OID (numeric): 1.2.840.10006.300.43.1.1.3.1.26

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The administrative value that determines whether an Aggregator discards a frame that is received from an Aggregation Port with a Port Conversation ID that is not included in the Collection_Conversation_Mask. The value 'forceTrue' indicates that such frames are to be discarded, the value 'forceFalse' indicates that such frames are to be forwarded, and the value 'auto' indicates that such frames are to be forwarded only whe the actor and partner agree on the algorithms and mapping tables used to map frames to Aggregation Ports. Its value is set to 'auto' by default.

What is dot3adAggAdminDiscardWrongConversation2?

Controls what happens to frames arriving on a member port whose Port Conversation ID isn't in the collection mask: forceTrue always discards them, forceFalse always forwards them, and the default, auto, forwards them only when the actor and partner agree on their frame-to-port mapping algorithms. This object replaces the deprecated dot3adAggAdminDiscardWrongConversation.
