dot3adAggActorAdminKey

Module: IEEE8023-LAG-MIB

OID (symbolic): IEEE8023-LAG-MIB::dot3adAggActorAdminKey

OID (numeric): 1.2.840.10006.300.43.1.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: LacpKey

Access: read-write

Description: The current administrative value of the Key for the Aggregator. The administrative Key value may differ from the operational Key value for the reasons discussed in 6.7.2. This is a 16-bit read-write value. The meaning of particular Key values is of local significance. For an Aggregator that is associated with a Portal, the aAggActorAdminKey has to be different for each Portal System. Specifically the two most significant bits are set to aDrniPortalSystemNumber (7.4.1.1.7). The lower 14 bits may be any value, have to be the same in each Portal System within the same Portal, and have a default of zero.

What is dot3adAggActorAdminKey?

Sets the administrative Key value for this Aggregator, which may differ from its operational key; only ports sharing the same Key value as an Aggregator are eligible to join it. On a DRNI Aggregator the two most-significant bits of this 16-bit value must be set to the Portal System Number so that each Portal System uses a distinct key.
