ieee8021SpanningTreeRstpPortAdminEdgePort
Module: IEEE8021-SPANNING-TREE-MIB
OID (symbolic): IEEE8021-SPANNING-TREE-MIB::ieee8021SpanningTreeRstpPortAdminEdgePort
OID (numeric): 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.3.1.2.1.13
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: The administrative value of the Edge Port parameter. A value of true(1) indicates that this port should be assumed as an edge-port, and a value of false(2) indicates that this port should be assumed as a non-edge-port.
Setting this object will also cause the corresponding instance of ieee8021SpanningTreeRstpPortOperEdgePort to change to the same value. Note that even when this object's value is true(1), the value of the corresponding instance of ieee8021SpanningTreeRstpPortOperEdgePort can be false(2) if a BPDU has been received.
The value of this object MUST be retained across reinitializations of the management system.
What is ieee8021SpanningTreeRstpPortAdminEdgePort?
Administrative setting for whether this port should be treated as an edge port (directly connected to a host, not another switch); setting it true also updates the operational edge-port value, though receiving a BPDU can still flip the operational value back to non-edge.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.3.1.2.1.13 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IEEE8021-SPANNING-TREE-MIB::ieee8021SpanningTreeRstpPortAdminEdgePort
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.3.1.2.1.13.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IEEE8021-SPANNING-TREE-MIB::ieee8021SpanningTreeRstpPortAdminEdgePort.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.3.1.2.1.13.1 s <value>
