This counter tracks the total number of packets that have been both integrity-protected (authenticated) and encrypted by the MACsec transmit Secure Channel on a network interface. It increments each time the device successfully protects an outgoing frame with MACsec encryption. Network operators monitor this to verify MACsec protection is functioning and to track encrypted traffic volume for security audit purposes.
