OID (numeric): 1.0.8802.1.1.1.1.2.1.1.8

Description:
The value, in seconds, of the txPeriod constant currently in use by the Authenticator PAE state machine.
What is dot1xAuthTxPeriod?
This deprecated object specifies the time interval (in seconds) at which the IEEE 802.1X authenticator (typically a network switch port) transmits EAP-Request frames during the authentication exchange. Shorter intervals speed up authentication but consume more bandwidth; longer intervals are gentler on the network but may delay device access. Network administrators adjust this timing when tuning port-based network access control (802.1X) for optimal authentication performance and responsiveness.
