dot1xAuthBackendNonNakResponsesFromSupplicant

Module: IEEE8021-PAE-MIB

OID (symbolic): IEEE8021-PAE-MIB::dot1xAuthBackendNonNakResponsesFromSupplicant

OID (numeric): 1.0.8802.1.1.1.1.2.3.1.16

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: Counts the number of times that the state machine receives a response from the Supplicant to an initial EAP-Request, and the response is something other than EAP-NAK (i.e., rxResp becomes TRUE, causing the state machine to transition from REQUEST to RESPONSE, and the response is not an EAP-NAK). Indicates that the Supplicant can respond to the Authenticators chosen EAP-method.

What is dot1xAuthBackendNonNakResponsesFromSupplicant?

Counts how many times the Supplicant on this port responded to the Authenticator's chosen EAP method with something other than an EAP-NAK, confirming the client actually supports the method the server picked instead of rejecting it.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IEEE8021-PAE-MIB::dot1xAuthBackendNonNakResponsesFromSupplicant

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.0.8802.1.1.1.1.2.3.1.16.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IEEE8021-PAE-MIB::dot1xAuthBackendNonNakResponsesFromSupplicant.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> dot1xAuthBackendNonNakResponsesFromSupplicant.1
