Writing a value of '0' assigns the automatically calculated default Path Cost value to the port. If the default Path Cost is being used, this object returns '0' when read.
This complements the object ieee8021MstpCistPortCistPathCost, which returns the operational value of the port path cost.
The value of this object MUST be retained across reinitializations of the management system.

The administrator-assigned path cost (0-200000000) this port contributes toward the CIST root; writing 0 tells the bridge to fall back to the automatically calculated default cost based on link speed, in which case reads of this object also return 0 — check ieee8021MstpCistPortCistPathCost for the actual operating value.
