ieee8021AsPortDSCurrentLogAnnounceInterval

Module: IEEE8021-AS-MIB

OID (symbolic): IEEE8021-AS-MIB::ieee8021AsPortDSCurrentLogAnnounceInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.20.1.5.1.20

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: The value is the logarithm to the base 2 of the of the current announce transmission interval.

The currentLogAnnounceInterval specifies the current value of the announce interval. Every port supports the value 127; the port does not send Announce messages when currentLogAnnounceInterval has this value (see 10.3.14). A port may support other values, except for the reserved values -128 through - 125, inclusive, and 124 through 126, inclusive. A port ignores requests (see 10.3.14) for unsupported values.

What is ieee8021AsPortDSCurrentLogAnnounceInterval?

The log-base-2 interval this port is currently using to transmit Announce messages; a value of 127 means Announce messages are suppressed entirely. Read this to confirm what announce cadence a port has negotiated to, versus its configured initial value.
