The value is coded as a fraction of the NDR with valid range from 0.01 to 0.99 with increments of 0.01. When downstream retransmission is used, sets the near-end LEFTR (Low Error-Free Throughput) defect threshold as a fraction of NDR, valid 0.01-0.99 in steps of 0.01 (G.997.1 7.3.1.12); the special value 0 (the default) tells the line to use ETR as the default threshold instead of a fixed fraction.
