Description: Indicates the action when traffic exceeds the target value. Options: 1.true(1) -discard 2.false(2) -not discard If this leaf is not specified, the default value is true(1). In the set operation, if false(2) is entered, must input valid value of hwRateLimitExceedDscp, otherwise the default value is true(1) will take effect.

What is hwRateLimitExceedDrop?

This OID is a true/false flag controlling whether traffic exceeding the rate-limit target is dropped (true, the default) or instead re-marked and passed. An admin sets this to false, together with a valid exceed-DSCP value, to demote rather than discard over-limit traffic.
