What is hwMacAddressIndex?
This INTEGER (0-8), read-create, identifies which MAC address entry in the corresponding MAC address table applies to this IP address profile row; when the row is the main IP (hwAddressIndex 1), this must be set to 0. An admin uses it to associate a management IP address with a specific MAC address entry, relevant on devices where multiple MAC addresses can be assigned across active/standby boards. Setting hwMacAddressIndex to a nonzero value on a non-main-IP row ties that outband IP to a specific secondary MAC entry rather than the device's primary MAC.
