This read-only INTEGER enum reports the finite state machine state of this V5-associated user port's signaling protocol, with values an101(1) through an30(7) representing distinct states in the access-network state machine, per the object's brief description. Administrators check this alongside the physical port's FSM state to diagnose where V5 signaling for this port is stalled. If this state disagrees with the state reported on the corresponding physical port entry, the admin knows there's a synchronization issue between the two views of the same port.
