What is hwCdpComplianceEnable?

This EnabledStatus value is the administratively desired state of the global CDP (Cisco Discovery Protocol) compliance function on the device. When set to disable(2) the system discards received CDP packets; when set to enable(1) it counts and keeps the latest CDP packets. An admin would set this to enable(1) to let the switch interoperate with neighboring Cisco equipment that advertises itself via CDP.
