Description: The threshold value of UDP packets speed. when the speed of UDP packets to one host in this zone reach this value, the firewall will drops the subsequence UDP packets to this host.
What is hwAtkZoneUdpFloodSpeed?
This Integer32, 0 to 1,000,000, sets the UDP-packet-per-second threshold for a security zone; once UDP packets to a single host in the zone reach this rate, the firewall starts dropping subsequent UDP packets to that host. Admins tune this to protect hosts from UDP flood attacks while allowing normal UDP traffic, like DNS or streaming, through under the threshold. For example, setting hwAtkZoneUdpFloodSpeed to 20000 causes the firewall to start dropping UDP packets to any host receiving more than 20000 UDP packets per second.
