Description: The inspecting switch for PPTP.
What is hwAspfEudmEnablePptp?
This boolean switch enables or disables ASPF inspection of PPTP VPN tunnel-establishment traffic between the two zones. Enabling it lets the firewall track the PPTP control connection and dynamically permit the associated GRE data tunnel, which a plain stateless rule set would otherwise block. An admin allowing remote users to establish PPTP VPN tunnels through the firewall would enable this so the GRE-encapsulated tunnel traffic isn't dropped after the control session negotiates it.
