What is hwAspfEudmEnableNetBios?
This boolean switch enables or disables ASPF inspection of NetBIOS traffic passing between the two configured security zones. Turning it on lets the firewall apply application-aware filtering to NetBIOS name-resolution and session traffic, which is often restricted between zones to reduce Windows file-sharing exposure. An admin isolating an internal Windows file-sharing segment from a less-trusted zone would enable this when selective NetBIOS inspection, rather than an outright block, is needed.
