Options: 1. enabled(1) -indicates the DHCP-trigger authentication function is enabled 2. disabled(2) -indicates the DHCP-trigger authentication function is disabled Default: disable(2)
What is hwDHCPTripperStatus?
This OID enables or disables DHCP-trigger authentication on the device: when enabled(1), the device inspects incoming DHCP DISCOVER and REQUEST packets and uses them to trigger 802.1x authentication, and when disabled(2) - the default - it ignores those packets for authentication purposes. An admin enables this on networks where clients should be authenticated automatically as soon as they try to obtain an IP address via DHCP.
