When the value is enableLinkDownTrapOnly(4), the linkUp traps is disabled and the linkDown traps is enabled.

What is hpnicfLinkUpDownTrapEnable?

Controls which linkUp/linkDown traps the device emits: enableBoth(1) sends both, disableBoth(2) suppresses both, and the other two values enable only the up or only the down trap, letting an admin quiet noisy interfaces without losing all link-state alerting.
