hpnicfPwVcMtu
Module: HPN-ICF-L2VPN-PWE3-MIB
OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-L2VPN-PWE3-MIB::hpnicfPwVcMtu
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.78.2.1.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Unsigned32
Access: read-create
Description: If not equal zero, the optional Mtu object in the signaling protocol will be sent with this value, representing the locally supported MTU size over the interface (or the virtual interface) associated with the PW. The default value is 1500.
What is hpnicfPwVcMtu?
This Unsigned32, read-create, sets the locally supported MTU size for the interface or virtual interface associated with the pseudowire, and if nonzero it is sent as the optional MTU object in the signaling protocol; it defaults to 1500. An admin adjusts it when the attachment circuit's frame size differs from the default Ethernet MTU, ensuring both PE routers agree on the maximum frame size the pseudowire will carry. Leaving hpnicfPwVcMtu at its default of 1500 while the peer expects jumbo frames would cause an MTU mismatch during PW setup.
