What is hpnicfL2IsolateEnable?
This TruthValue setting turns Layer-2 port isolation on or off for a VLAN, preventing ports in the same VLAN from communicating directly with each other at Layer 2 despite sharing a broadcast domain. An administrator enables this on VLANs like shared-tenant or guest networks, where hosts need to reach a common gateway but shouldn't be able to see or reach one another directly. For example, enabling this on a shared coworking-space VLAN prevents one tenant's device from directly reaching another tenant's device on the same VLAN.
