hpnicfDot11LoadBalanceTrafficGap

Module: HPN-ICF-DOT11-CFGEXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-DOT11-CFGEXT-MIB::hpnicfDot11LoadBalanceTrafficGap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.75.6.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Traffic gap threshold. Load balancing is carried out for a radio when the traffic threshold and session gap are exceeded.

What is hpnicfDot11LoadBalanceTrafficGap?

A read-write integer, 10 to 40, setting the traffic gap threshold, a percentage difference, between radios that, together with the traffic threshold, triggers load balancing for a radio, defaulting to 20. This prevents load balancing from triggering over trivial differences in traffic between radios, requiring both an absolute traffic threshold and a meaningful relative gap between radios before clients get steered, which avoids unnecessary client bouncing. With this set to 20, load balancing would only act if one radio's traffic load exceeds another's by at least a 20-point gap, in addition to crossing the traffic threshold.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-DOT11-CFGEXT-MIB::hpnicfDot11LoadBalanceTrafficGap

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.75.6.1.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-DOT11-CFGEXT-MIB::hpnicfDot11LoadBalanceTrafficGap.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.75.6.1.1.5.1 i <value>
