hpnicfDot11LoadBalanceSessionGap

Module: HPN-ICF-DOT11-CFGEXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-DOT11-CFGEXT-MIB::hpnicfDot11LoadBalanceSessionGap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.75.6.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Session gap threshold. Load balancing is carried out for a radio when the session threshold and session gap are exceeded.

What is hpnicfDot11LoadBalanceSessionGap?

A read-write integer, 1 to 8, setting the session-count gap threshold between radios that, together with the session threshold, triggers session-based load balancing, defaulting to 4. This prevents session-based load balancing from triggering over trivial client-count differences, requiring both an absolute session threshold and a meaningful gap in client counts between radios before steering kicks in. With this set to 4, load balancing would only act if one radio has at least 4 more connected clients than another, in addition to crossing the session threshold.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-DOT11-CFGEXT-MIB::hpnicfDot11LoadBalanceSessionGap

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.75.6.1.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-DOT11-CFGEXT-MIB::hpnicfDot11LoadBalanceSessionGap.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.75.6.1.1.6.1 i <value>
