Note that multiple partitions may point to one file system, denoting that that file system resides on those partitions. Multiple file systems may not reside on one partition.

Points to the index of the file system mounted on this partition, or zero if none is mounted; multiple partitions can point to the same file system, but one partition can't host more than one file system.
