restartDev

Module: HIK-DEVICE-MIB

OID (symbolic): HIK-DEVICE-MIB::restartDev

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.39165.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The support of restarting the device.

What is restartDev?

Write to this object to trigger a remote reboot of the device, handy for recovering a hung DVR/NVR without physically power-cycling it. Because it is read-write, treat it carefully: an unintended write can restart a live surveillance recorder.
