hh3cRmonExtAlarmStatCycle

Module: HH3C-RMON-EXT2-MIB

OID (symbolic): HH3C-RMON-EXT2-MIB::hh3cRmonExtAlarmStatCycle

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.2.125.1.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-create

Description: The lifetime (in seconds) starts when an alarm entry is set in valid state.

If the entry has an infinite lifetime, the value of this object MUST be 0. Otherwise the value MUST be greater than the value of hh3cRmonExtAlarmInterval.

This object may not be modified if the associated alarmStatus object is equal to valid.

What is hh3cRmonExtAlarmStatCycle?

This sets how long, in seconds, the alarm entry stays active after being activated (set to valid) before it automatically expires; a value of 0 means it runs indefinitely. If a finite lifetime is used it must exceed the sampling interval configured in hh3cRmonExtAlarmInterval, since an entry that expires before it can even complete one sample would be useless. An admin doing a one-week diagnostic watch on a flapping link might set this to 604800 seconds so the alarm entry self-removes instead of needing manual cleanup.
