hh3cFailoverSecondaryChassisID

Module: HH3C-FAILOVER-MIB

OID (symbolic): HH3C-FAILOVER-MIB::hh3cFailoverSecondaryChassisID

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.2.164.2.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-create

Description: Specifies a card on an IRF member device. The chassis-number argument represents the member ID of the IRF member device. (Distributed devices In IRF mode.) On a centralized or distributed device, the value for this node is always zero. Note:The -1 for delete the node.

What is hh3cFailoverSecondaryChassisID?

A read-create Integer32 (-1 to 255) specifying the IRF member chassis number that hosts the secondary (backup) card in this failover group, fixed at zero on centralized or non-IRF distributed devices, and set to -1 to delete the node. This tells the failover subsystem which physical chassis holds the standby side of the pair, important in multi-chassis IRF deployments for placing the backup on a different physical unit than the primary. An admin might set this to chassis 2 so the backup card lives on a separate IRF member from the primary.
