This value, measured in gigabit bps, reports the SAN aggregation group's link speed before its most recent change, and is exposed mainly for use in notifications. Admins use it together with the current speed to see how a group's aggregate bandwidth changed, for example after a member link went down. For example, a previous speed of 16 with a lower current speed would indicate the aggregation group lost bandwidth capacity after a member link failure.
